United States Qualifying Events

Each country is permitted to field up to three teams in the 2007 competition. The host city may also provide a team in addition to the country teams. The IYFCC organizing committee in each country develops the criteria for qualifying teams in that country. The team representing the host city will be selected by invitation of the IYFCC organizing committee. The United States organizing committee has chosen three qualifying events for the 2007 International Fuel Cells Competition. The top three winning teams from each competition will be eligible to apply for participation in the 2007 IYFCC. The application will include personal interviews and a written test. Students must be between the ages of 15-18 on October 10, 2007 to be eligible. One team from each qualifying event may be chosen to represent the United States in the 2007 competition in San Antonio, Texas. Sponsorship of the United States teams will be the responsibility of the qualifying event coordinators.
